“Product Owner” certification training

Product Owners are responsible for juggling the competitive priorities of customers, the market and their businesses while managing risk in a constantly changing environment.

This training aims to help with the juggling exercise and provide keys, tips and techniques
to ensure the responsibilities associated with the development of a product while maximizing business value.

Alternating concrete cases and situation scenarios, this training will provide all the knowledge necessary to fulfill the role of “Product Owner” and will prepare you for certification.

Prerequisites
  • Significant experience in project management
  • An appetite for Agile, having read a Scrum book or the SCRUM Guide
  • Having a correct level of English is essential to pass the certification
Goals
  • Optimize the total cost of ownership per product
  • Understand all the stages of software and product development
  • Being an effective “Product Owner” in an agile context: Role
  • Have effective interaction with the agile scrum delivery team.
  • Define and maintain the product vision
  • Know how to write a usable “product backlog”
  • Know the prioritization techniques
  • Know how to predict the delivery date of the product (Create and maintain your roadMap).
  • Prepare for passing the “Professional Product Owner” (PSPO I®) certification from scrum.org®.
Validation

We will verify that the objectives of this training are achieved using the following methods,

  • Entry: Self-assessment of the trainee on his knowledge of agility, Scrum and product management
  • During the training:
    • Origin and agile manifesto: REX, Co-definition of agile concepts and practices
    • Knowledge of the Scrum framework: Quiz, co-definition of Scrum artifacts
    • Product Owner: Personality, role, value management
    • Discovery of agility frameworks at scale
    • Practice exams
    • Scenario: Analysis and reflection on the roles and management of the product backlog
  • Output :

    • Self-evaluation of the trainee on his progress on the above points
    • Reporting and sharing within the limits of confidentiality with the prescriber (s)
Pedagogy

This training consists of an alternation of theoretical presentations (40%), practical work
(60%), discussions around the organizational cases of participants (REX), question phases /
answers (with multiple choice or mock exams) and summaries from the trainer.
